CHANGES IS STUDENTS' LIFE PRE AND POST COVID

HOW THE PANDEMIC CHANGED THE STUDENTS' LIFE:

When the COVID-19 pandemic prompted there was a historic shutdown on almost every school in the entire world. Class were being held online during this period but it was only limited to some school because the schools in the locals and rural areas were either lacking the internet services a smart device to attend them. 

With rural children being forced to borrow smartphones, and the lack of internet connection in many villages, online schooling is a difficult task in rural India.

Even though there were difficulties in learning but it was necessary to take that step to ensure the safety of the students during this world pandemic.

“Everything has their both advantages and disadvantages in the similar way Learning online also has their own advantages and disadvantages"

DISADVANTAGES OF ONLINE CLASSES: 

    Students attending classes from home.

                    

1. LITTLE OR NO FACE TO FACE INTERACTION:

This is one of the most important issues of online classes, when there is no face to face to face interaction between a teacher and student it becomes very difficult for the either side to build up a proper relationship.

2. INTENSE REQUIREMENT FOR SELF-DESCIPLINE:

Online courses usually have deadlines for assignments, tests, commenting on lectures, etc. This is the reason that proper time managements is required during the online class since online classes consume a lot of times for a single class as compared the offline classes.

3. CHEATING DURING ONLINE CLASSES OR EXAMS:

This is also one of the major issues faced during online classes. Their are some students who usually cheat their teachers and during online exams since there is no invigilator watching over them during online exams. 

4. BUNKING OF CLASSES AND LACK OF TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE OF TEACHERS:

This has became a major issues of online classes specially in India. A lot of students usually join the class, turn off their camera and just troll around and even if the teachers ask to turn it on the most answer they get almost all the students is that their network bandwidth is low and since some of the teachers are not much involved with technical terms they have now way ton know wither the student is lying or telling the truth. Due to this lack of technical knowledge their are some students who trick their teachers and force them to leave the class.

ADVANTAGES OF ONLINE CLASSES:

1. ONLINE COURSES BRING EDUCATION RIGHT TO YOU HOME:

This is one of the major advantage of the online classes since students are  not required to travel long distance while carrying a huge load on their backs to reach schools, they can attend them from the comfort of their home.

2. MORE TIME FOR SELF STUDY:

One of another advantage of online class is that its is more time convenient for both the students and the teachers since they now just have leave and join another virtual class and also the time taken by a student while going to the school and coming back is now preserved which they can use to relax themselves or use it as their personal study time.

3. INCREASE THE KNOWLEDE IN TECHNICAL TERMS:

People who never used a pc or smartphone were now forced to use it for good. There are many teachers across India who have never used any smart technologies in their life and now they are forced to used it which in a way is good because in todays generation knowing about is very important.

CHANGES IN STUDENTS' DURING COVID:

During the COVID period when every school was shutdown the life of students' changed in many ways. They began to

engage themselves in unproductive work mainly online activities. But still the government were trying their best to educate the children in many ways, from allowing the schools to held online classes to teaching them on television with a given time schedule. The methods of giving education to the
children during the pandemic period can be seen in the given graph.

With the changes in platforms of education for the students, teachers too had to changes theirs. They were now mostly involved in creating ppt for the students, take the classes in virtual platforms eg, Zoom, Google Meet, etc. The usages of internet by teachers for different purposes to educate the students can be seen in the following graphs.                        

CONCLUSION:

Even though everyone faced many difficulties during this period both the government and school authorities left no effort and gave their everything to educate the children the best way possible but at the the online classes were not at all equivalent to the offline classes.

                    Now since the pandemic is now almost over and the offline classes are resumed everything is returning to normal and eventually we all will me able to live the same life once more which we used to before the pandemic broke in.
